  1. Thank you for such an informative video Jenn! This is so helpful for me especially for my small business that I started 10 months ago! If you guys could check it out that would be awesome.
I sell high quality healing crystals & gemstone bracelets on Instagram! @mayariscrystals @mayarisales βœ¨πŸ’“

  2. Hey Jen! I have a question and I hope you can answer this! How do you personally enjoy being in the fashion industry? I’m in a pickle..I guess, between fashion and other industries, but it’s been very tough. From your experience, what’s the industry like? Competitive? Stressful? Where’s the balance?
    Thank you πŸ₯° xxxxooooo

  3. The little tidbits about your personal process are GOLD!!! (specific examples: the 3 month trial run + performance review and the monthly analytics review) Please please do more videos about productivity and managing your work – as a fellow business owner, I find it inspiring and helpful and really fitting because as an OG follower it feels like we've grown and evolved together and serious work + self development + food + fashion is all just different aspects of our lives ❀️❀️❀️

  4. I agree that Google Ads are highly effective. Most of my clients easily found me on Google. For those who are on a serious budget, you can still have your business information listed on a free account…Google Business. ❀️

  5. I really really needed this! I felt so discouraged with my small business. Like we're not doing as well as I'd like to be compared to previous months, but hearing advice from THE girl boss herself, helped motivate me to keep going!! 😍

  6. This video is so helpfull πŸ’– thank you for sharing this tips! It's so nice to see someone who is successfull sharing their tips and tricks with the ones who are still trying or even considering doing it πŸ™Œ you are a star Jenn ✨ Love from Chile πŸ‡¨πŸ‡±

  7. Wow, watching this video made me so happy and your smile brings a smile to my face. I'm so glad to hear all these tips from you– you are straightforward and raw! (:
    Keep it up, Jenn!

  8. Shout out to all the small businesses who are pulling through these unknown times. I'd love to hear any lessons and tips you have about running your small business in the comments below!

  9. loved this video, jenn!! a quick tip would be to integrate quickbooks into your small business platform + input your bank info so you can easily categorize all your receipts/spendings every month. after u set some categories, it’ll start learning and auto-categorize them for u and you’ll be better prepared for tax season ❀️ anyways ur cute and this bob is a vibe xx

  10. I'm a songwriter and recently started seeing myself as a small business of some sort :). Hopefully I can incorporate these tips into the music world! Thanks always for ur transparency Jenn!

  11. Hi! I hope you could share with us your favorite business books!! Thanks for this video!

Btw, I am learning English and I can almost understand everything that you speak! And I love that! πŸ˜†

  12. I enjoyed what you said about not having a mentor because its not that easy to get one. The suggestion of reading books and looking into other resources from the same author is great, I never thought about that!

  13. the end of the video reminded me – Jenn will the eggie Dreamer or Drifter Dress or a dress with the same cut as it ever go back in to stock? I missed out on buying both of these last time so I've been waiting to find a dress like it but I can't seem to find the right one it really is the perfect cut imo πŸ˜”I know you probably don't know for sure at this stage but is it something in the books for the near future πŸ₯Ί

  14. a food video idea could be to write a grocery list for people and show how they could buy and use all the ingredients in different recipes! i always struggle with what to get and the idea that i wont be able to finish consuming an item before hand, and you seem to have nailed it :)) love how practical your tips were!! hehe

  16. Many small business people (and accountants unfortunately) think accounting is just for taxes but they can show you so much more about your business if you set them up thoughtfully. Accounting reveals the secret code to your business if you're paying attention.

  17. Hello Jenn, this is totally a helpful video for young people like me to have a slight glance of how to run a small business step by step. I hope to see you share some more business experiences like this in the futute. Love you πŸ’•

  18. This is so useful! I’d love to start a business one day but I don’t know what direction to go in, as in what product/service would be the one. Anyone else struggle with that?

  19. I love your advice to use books as your own personal mentor! I find that it is extremely helpful to find someone within your field that you admire and research how they became successful. Then apply as many of those steps as you can!! <3

  20. Wow! Guess you could read my mind jenn haha Was just starting to get interested with the idea of business this week. At first kinda felt hesitant coz I feel like it's not my thing and not confident enough with my abilitiesπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ… however, still wanna try it tho haha thanks for this😊

  21. I am planning to do my own business. so I started my youtube channel to get more recognizable first. listening to your tips seen in other videos like becoming the boss, building your brands your entrepreneur fail video, that's all pump me up. I have watched those videos more than twice at least and some may be more than 10 times. I have learnt a lot from your videos wheater it's cooking or chatting, vlogging, running, exercise. thank you, Jenn.

  22. Thanks girl needed that one!! πŸ₯Ί I wanna try to build my own little customization business cuz I love to upcycle & customize clothes, accessories and shoes!

  23. Love this video! I recently set up my own digital marketing agency and similar to you I like to call books my mentors. They are the best way to absorb and download all the knowledge and lessons that successful business people have generated over years of their life.
Investing in yourself and in your education is the best investment you will ever make in business – be it a course or a book – I have always and will forever continue to invest in mine and my team's education.
    Keep up the amazing work!
Side note – I'm loving the book club and the food videos! Two great new editions to your portfolio! Stay safe & much love, Hatti x

  24. Being in business school right now, your point on referencing concrete points during performance reviews is CRITICAL. You can't afford to dance around issues when it comes to work. The only thing I would add is positive affirmation throughout is key as well. Creates a positive work environment and motivates workers more than a three month dopamine hit

  25. jenn are you ever going to address your recent partnership with Urban Outfitters? UO has been known to racially profile Black customers and hold unethical practices. many people have reached out to you but we have still not seen a response. :/

  26. Thank you thank you thank you!!! As employees, always appreciate bosses/ supervisors who provide clear and concise feedback, good or bad, so we know what area we can strengthen or work on. ❀️

  27. Jenn! Long time fan here. This is the most awesome video you've put out lately. Love the value that it offers and I love hearing your input on these types of topics. I look up to you. Please keep it up!

  28. I have a small business making resin and clay jewelry and IG has been awesome for advertising. I can advertise an item I'm selling in my Etsy store through IG for a $1 a day for a week and reach over 3,000-5,000+ new potential buyers. I spend $28 dollars a month on advertising my products and I think it's worth it and it's cheap. You can definitely afford to advertise your stuff now a days you just have to look and see what's out there.

  29. Thank you for the tips Jenn! I run a Mobile Bartending business and travel to LA often for events. If anyone needs a mobile bartender for their next event please let me know! πŸ₯³

  30. Halo semuanya, aku sedang mencoba ngevlog akhir-akhir ini.. dan mengupload video yang bertujuan untuk nyemangatin kalian para introvert yang kadang merasa insecure sepertiku. Silahkan cek ke channel ku ya, semoga kita bisa saling support! hope you have a beautiful day!^^

  31. I've learned that when it comes to employees/coworkers, more than just "smart" people, you need people who are willing to learn and receptive to feedback. No matter how smart someone is, if they are stubborn and only want to do things their own, it makes it incredibly difficult to train them in the first place and almost impossible to work with in the future. I worked with someone who graduated from Columbia and I had to train her because I had seniority. She would NOT listen to anything I or anyone else told her because she had this mindset that she was better than everyone else but tbh, we all ended up in the same place so…

  32. Thank you so much for this nice video. I'm thinking about starting a new small business which is my very first time. I've emphasized with your tips, learned and got passion. πŸ™‚ I want to share if I make a specific blueprint and plan later. Have a good day!
